Business records (chiefly bills and invoices, as well as correspondence, bank statements, fire insurance papers, freight and lading bills, cancelled checks, receipts, and oversize payroll rosters) including correspondence of A.H. Twichell (1841-1916), treasurer, and J. Choice Evins (1869-1945), president; letters, 1900-1932, from the National Association of Manufacturers and the Cotton Manufacturers' Association of South Carolina; and correspondence, 1918, with U.S. War Department, and U.S. Treasury Department, concering company difficulties during World War I. Correspondence, 1927, with the Cotton Manufacturers' Associatation of South Carolina over industry's concern about the state sales tax bill; correspondence, 1930-1932, from the Farmers' and Taxpayers' League soliciting support for tax reform. Also contains company bank statements, fire insurance papers, bills, freight and lading bills, cancelled checks, receipts, and coupon books for mill store.
